About pages always kill me. I don’t know what you are looking for when you read someone’s “About” page. I suppose the typical “Hi my name is…, I live in…, I do _____ for a living, is the norm for these things. I find that all to be relatively boring. I guess it does make someone or something more interesting to a reader if say they’re from the same area, are in the same age range, have some similar interests or share an alma mater. So please allow me to bore you with the mundane details:
Hi! My name is Kristi. Kristi Metzger for those of you severely interested in that. I’m 27, live in Baltimore, MD, in the Charles Village area. I love Baltimore. I typically love cities in general but there’s just something about Baltimore that when I moved here made me decide this is where I belong. I have recently gone through a career change. I was the shipping manager of a photo lab for 2 years and recently decided I have no desire to put things in boxes all day for the rest of my professional life. So here I am, self employed. My title now reads: Freelance Writer, Journalist and Blogger. That’s in addition to frequent Ebay seller.
I am a graduate of Hazleton Area High School in Hazleton, PA. (Class of 2000)
I graduated from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, PA in December of 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Journalism and a Concentration in Art (mostly art history and graphic design).
I think that covers just about everything. If there are any other details you feel I’ve left out or just won’t be able to sleep at night without knowing let me know.
